These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of ratefrog.com (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Top Leads LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“RateFrog,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about you.
What RateFrog Is
RateFrog is a free informational website about car insurance. We publish guides that explain coverage, claims and insurance companies’ policies, and we link to third-party tools where you can request insurance quotes.
RateFrog is not an insurance company, agency or broker. We don’t sell, quote, bind or service insurance policies, and we don’t handle claims or payments. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell insurance. Coverage, eligibility and prices are set by insurance companies and licensed agents, not by RateFrog.
General Information, Not Professional Advice
The content on the Site is general information. It isn’t insurance, legal, financial or tax advice, and it isn’t a substitute for reading your policy or talking with your insurer, a licensed agent or another qualified professional. What your policy covers depends on its terms, the laws of your state and your insurer’s rules.
We work to keep our content accurate and link to the sources we rely on, but insurance laws, prices and company policies change. We don’t guarantee that any content is complete, current or free of errors, so confirm important details with your insurer or the relevant state agency before you make a decision.
Quote Tools, Partners and Other Websites
The Site links to websites and tools run by others, including partners’ quote tools, insurance companies and government agencies. Some pages may also display quote forms, rate listings or offers provided by partners. When you use a third-party website or tool, that party’s terms and privacy policy apply, and the information you enter is handled by that party.
We don’t control third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, quotes, products, services or privacy practices. Requesting quotes doesn’t obligate you to buy anything, and a quote isn’t final until an insurer issues a policy.
How We Make Money
The Site is free to use. RateFrog may be paid when you click certain links, request quotes or buy products through our partners. Our quote partner, Insurance Panda, shares an owner with RateFrog. Compensation can affect which partners and offers appear on the Site and where they appear.
Using the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, noncommercial purposes. You agree not to:
- use the Site in a way that breaks any law or regulation;
- copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk, or use automated tools to collect it, except for search engines indexing the Site;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its servers;
- interfere with the Site’s operation, including by introducing malware or overloading it; or
- use the Site to send spam or to impersonate anyone.
We may limit or end access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.
Intellectual Property
The Site’s content, including text, graphics, logos and design, belongs to RateFrog or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Other uses require our written permission.
Insurance company names and trademarks belong to their owners. Mentioning a company doesn’t mean it endorses RateFrog or that we endorse it.

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATEFROG DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATEFROG AND ITS OWNER, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT OR YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY THIRD PARTY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED $100. SOME STATES DON’T ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnification
If you use the Site in violation of these Terms or the law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless RateFrog and its owner from the resulting claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state of residence requires otherwise.
Notice for California Users
Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to the following notice. The Site is provided by Top Leads LLC, 3100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201, and there is no charge to use it. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after an update, you accept the revised Terms.
