This notice supplements the Privacy Policy of Top Leads LLC, which owns and operates RateFrog (“RateFrog,” “we,” “us” or “our”), and applies to California residents. It describes the personal information we collect and the rights California law gives you. We honor these requests from California residents whether or not the law requires it of a business our size.
Personal Information We Collect
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

We don’t collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers or precise geolocation. We use personal information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy: running the Site, understanding how it’s used, replying to you, tracking partner referrals, security and legal compliance. We keep it only as long as we need it for those purposes.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We don’t sell personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling the personal information of consumers under 16. RateFrog doesn’t use advertising or retargeting pixels, and we don’t share personal information with other companies for their own marketing. If that changes, we’ll update this notice before it happens and give you a way to opt out, including by honoring Global Privacy Control signals.
Your Rights
- Right to know and access. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who received it, and you can ask for a copy.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to exceptions the law allows.
- Right to correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of today.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We don’t collect sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination. We won’t treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to Make a Request
Email contact@ratefrog.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line. Tell us which right you want to use and give us enough information to find your data, such as the email address you used to contact us. We’ll verify your request by matching the information you give us with what we have. An authorized agent can make a request for you if you give the agent signed permission.
We’ll confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to 45 more days, we’ll tell you why.
California Shine the Light Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents ask which personal information a business shared with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing in the prior year. RateFrog doesn’t share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing.
